ABOUT US
Who We Are
The Wyoming Rx Abuse Stakeholders (RAS) advocates for the appropriate use of prescription medication by increasing awareness, providing education, and impacting policy amongst the public, health care professionals, and law enforcement to prevent the misuse, abuse, and diversion of
prescription medications in Wyoming.
The RAS was founded in 2008 by then U.S. Attorney Kelly Rankin. At that time, he identified the need for key stakeholders in the state to come together to address a growing problem: Prescription drug misuse and abuse, which was resulting in an increasing number of deaths. Thanks to Kelly's foresight and leadership, with long-time assistance from RAS Secretary Barbara Warburton, the RAS is now in its 11th year of carrying out its critical mission for the state of Wyoming.
